You will find this site to be storehouse of information
on digital photography with the Middle East region being the arena of
exchanging views and notes.
Registered Members can share their digital pictures/scanned
photographs with anyone. You can choose to upload images as an album or
as individual images.
Uploading images as an album:
• If you have photos related to a particular
theme, you can choose to upload images as an album. The themes can be
anything from a “Wedding”, “Holiday to Stockholm”,
“Day at work”. You can keep uploading images within your album
from time to time. In other words, you don’t need to upload images
at one go.
• Each image uploaded should be included
in a category when uploading. Thus a baby’s image can be included
in “My baby” category as well as “Family & friends”.
Thus a maximum of two categories can be selected wherein every image can
be included.
• Each image can be given a caption &
a description of the image. You also have to update the camera and conditions
under which the shot was taken, specifying attributes of the shot.
• People going through images uploaded
by you have opportunity to give critical comments about the photo you’ve
shot. This feedback will prove useful to you.
Uploading individual images:
• You can also upload independent images.
• You can keep uploading images from time
to time. In other words, you don’t need to upload images at one
go.
• Each image uploaded should be included
in a category when uploading. Thus a baby’s image can be included
in “My baby” category and “Family & friends”.
Thus a maximum of two categories can be selected wherein every image can
be included.
• Each image can be given a caption &

Competition:
The criterion for selecting a winning photograph
starting from July 2005 can be any of the below mentioned ones or totally
different considerations. However to benefit your understanding the following
are listed.
Every good photograph uploaded by you increases
the chance of your winning an attractive prize. The prizes can be based
on various criterions which will be announced later.
The criterion will include number of times the
image is viewed (viewed in the larger format after clicking it). Note:
Images being viewed by refreshing site multiple times will not increase
your chances of winning; rather only unique views from unique user (each
browser) will matter. The number of comments an image attracts could also
be considered. A panel of judges can also judge the winner based on above
or other creative considerations including original concept.
From the above you can conclude that original
creative photographs have greater chance of winning.
People who have uploaded good photographs can
increase chances by sending the link of their photos to friends/well wishers
and asking them to view and requesting them to post critical comments.
